What a f&@$ing year 😂

2020 started out looking up to be such a great year with quite a few things planned. Getting to explore new places, working towards bigger life goals, and placing myself financially where I wanted to be. I got to experience winter in Chicago, shooting for the first time with an incredible dinner afterwards, make it to one of the last spring training games before everything started to shut down. Even then, I was still thankful, I had a job that I could work remotely, I had my family close by in SD and friends here we carefully spent our time with. I traded in my first new car for a older one that I absolutely love.

Of course, not everything goes as planned. With many companies downsizing, I lost my job. Did my best to keep us afloat, but like many people, it got tough and stressful. Although it was hard, the love and support I had behind me was always something I could rely on to keep me motivated. I got to go tubing for the first time, visit Page and jetski on Lake Powell all before starting a new job to carry me through the end of the year.

Despite the troubles, I know I was more fortunate than many. Family members lost, jobs troubled and lives just trying to survive. I became lazy and selfish, ended up starting to change into someone who really wasn’t myself. I was unfit, a bad friend, ungrateful son and brother, terrible partner. I had continued to fail myself and everyone else. I grew weak, physically, mentally and emotionally who relied so heavily on other people, I could barely take care of myself.

If you’re still reading this, I don’t mean this to be depressing, but being a place I used to post my life, my accomplishments, my failures, it was some place I could visually keep myself accountable. I did not take advantage of 2020 like I should have. I regret many decisions this past year that I chose that didn’t further me into the right direction. I can’t apologize or make up for all that I’ve done, but this rollercoaster of a year can hopefully serve as motivation for the future. If it wasn’t for my friends and my family, I know for a fact, there’s no way I’d still be here. So thanks to all of you.

Hey IG! Look who’s back??
Been some time, but twas a much needed hiatus. After a little recent up and down, I’ve found myself with some extra time in my day, starting to work back to my routine. Even though I haven’t been training lately and race season’s been postponed, it was a great surprise to see a little @wattieink / @moxiemultisport care package at my doorstep. 10yrs of finding your moxie, still stoked to be a part of this team!

Another fun/long/stressful day out at @ironmantri AZ 70.3! Between multiple crashes, repairs, distracted spectators and a SEMI coming onto the course, I was stoked to help keep the athletes safe and get them to the finish line! Can’t wait to come back next year! See everyone next month for IMAZ!

Literally one of the most amazing nights! @deadmau5 #cubev3 was seriously so insane! @alex_arndt is THE ABSOLUTE BEST for getting me tickets to fullfil a dream of getting to see him perform live. Words cannot describe how happy I was when she surprised me for our anniversary. What an incredible night!

We had a great time out on Sonoran Desert Parkway for the @moxiemultisport Highway Cleanup! It’s amazing what you can find on the side of the highway (Tom Tom Nav device??). Surprisingly, for all the cyclists that ride along that road, only a couple gels, 1 tube and 1 CO2. If you’re ever out riding, please just pick up after yourselves!
